Position Summary
This position is housed within the Louisiana Department of Health, Office of Public Health, Bureau of Infectious Diseases, STD/HIV/Hepatitis Program. The Research and Evaluation (R&E) Coordinator will with the R&E Manager(s) to provide technical support and management to assigned evaluation projects and/or studies related to HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases. R&E Coordinator will design, test, and monitor evaluation and research protocols, including analysis and management of collected data. This position may be filled at the level of Research Associate (RA) 1, 2, or 3 depending on the candidates qualifications. This position is eligible for remote work per Chancellor's Memorandum-73 and School of Public Health Policies (up to 2 days per week after 6 months.)

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to perform methodological research; Strong quantitative data analysis skills; Knowledge of Evaluation Design or research methods; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Ability to interact with diverse levels of personnel and external stakeholders.
Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Fluency in statistical packages such as SAS, R, SPSS or other. Familiarity with REDCap or other online database and survey platform. Experience working in Evaluation and/or HIV, STD or Hepatitis fields. Demonstrated experience coordinating complex health-related programs or research.

The STD, HIV, HVC Program (SHHP) The Administers statewide evidence-based public health services and interventions intended to prevent the transmission of STDs, HIV, and viral Hepatitis, and to ensure timely access to quality medical/treatment and supportive social services for those diagnosed with an STD, HIV, or Hepatitis. Funded via a contract with Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) and partners with Southeast Louisiana Area Health Education Center (SEAHEC), Acadiana Cares, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
