Position Description:
The Production Planner position reports to the Sr. Manager, Order Fulfillment. The Production Planner supports the Order Fulfillment team in planning production forecasts, generating purchase orders, scheduling material releases, supports the contract manufacturers and maintains various reports and management KPI's.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor production build schedules from the contract manufacturers and provide feedback on deliveries and supplier performance. Escalate issues as needed.Support development of Forecasting models and communication of build plans to Contract Manufacturer partners.Support material ordering as required for prototype and initial pilot production builds. Issue purchase orders as necessary in support of Procurement and contract manufacturers.Participate in documentation review prior to product release. Coordinate transfer of documentation to Contract Manufacturer partners.Support our Contract Manufacturer as backup interface. Follow-up on action items, provide updates as necessary.Support inventory management of critical commodities to ensure continued supply. This entails monitoring min / max stocking levels and placing replenishment orders as necessary.Other actions as deemed required by management.Minimum Qualifications (post college and internships):
3 - 7 years' experience in a fast-paced technology company. Specific experience in Production Control, Inventory Management, and/or Order Fulfillment.3 - 7 years' experience in ERP systems such as NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, etc.3 - 7 years' experience in Product Line Management, PLM, applications such as Arena.Experience with reading and understanding Engineering documentation such as Bills of Materials, Printed Circuit Board assemblies, assembly drawings, fabrication drawings, tooling, component specifications, etc.Experience in inventory management such as min/max stocking levels, Kanban quantities, etc.Preferred Qualifications
Excellent communications skills such as writing, speaking, and listening.Attention to detail is critical. Must have demonstrated ability to keep track of details.Excellent aptitude for working with numbers and forecasting.Possesses a sense of urgency in completing assignments.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Experienced in Microsoft Office suite of programs with emphasis on Excel.Experience in using ERP systems.Familiar with Product Line Management, PLM, applications such as Arena.
Location:
Must live within daily commuting distance to our Headquarters Office in Chesterbrook, PA. Hybrid work schedule. 3 days in office, 2 days remote per week. No relocation assistance available.
