Job Description
As a Senior Indirect Tax Analyst for MGX Equipment Services, you will be part of the indirect tax team assisting with supporting state/local sales and use tax audits, processing and maintaining customer and vendor tax certificates, resolving customer and vendor tax issues, performing taxability research, maintaining the tax software and supporting sales and use tax and property tax compliance.
Reporting to the Transactional Tax Manager, this position is located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Essential Job Functions:Maintain exemption certificates and work closely with sales teams to update regularlyConduct technical research and provide guidance for the correct application of tax to different types of transactionsCoordinate monthly sales and use tax compliance with outsourcing teamAssist with sales and use tax auditsWork with internal teams to support inquiries related to sales and use taxesAssist with process and technology improvements within the tax department to streamline compliance and reportingSupport property tax compliance process with outsourcing teamIdentify areas of exposure and opportunityJob Responsibilities:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or MBA requiredMinimum of 4 years of sales tax experience preferredWorking knowledge of sales tax compliance software (Vertex a plus)Must be proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).Working knowledge of ERP systems (e-Emphasys a plus)Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment are requiredMust have problem solving and analytical skills and the ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously are essentialThe ideal candidate is career and goal oriented, and a potential resource for departmental succession planningWhat we offer you:
