QUALIFICATIONS:Valid Arizona Teaching CertificateComputer experience, minimum of 3 years teaching experience at secondary level,Organizational skills, ability to work with diverse student populations and positive public relation skills.REPORTS TO: District level administrator
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 11 months
JOB GOAL: To provide a successful alternative form of education for students which meet the Governing Board standards.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Establishes and implements Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and Individual Vocational Education Plan (IVEP) for each student to meet appropriate Governing Board grade level curriculum requirements and state curriculum standards.Designs and implements elements of each student's IEP and 1VEP in a creative and relevant manner to meet the personal and educational needs of each student.Utilizes appropriate computer hardware and software and community based instruction activities in the development of each student's IEP andEstablishes a positive and successful alternative school learning environment that maximizes and realizes the potential of each student.Identified, establishes, and implements, person and educational counseling needs of each student.Directs the operation of the school including discipline, attendance, and operation needs of each student.Recruits, screens and identifies eligible students.Seeks, establishes, and maintains, positive community relations with parents and citizens.Establishes a positive and successful application of Native American teaching, principles, philosophy and thought in a variety of learning environments.Implements Governing Board policies and administrative rules and regulations relating to the school and the district.All other duties as assigned by the district administration.
EVALUATION:
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with Governing Board Policy by district level administration in consultant with school site council.
