DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Recruiting and Onboarding
Advertise open positions appropriatelySource and screen qualified applicantsSchedules all pre-employment screening for candidatesTrack recruitment progress and costs for all plant staff openings2. Onboarding/Orientation
Assist with onboarding and orientationProvide training on systems/software used at the facilityEnsure new hires are provided what they need for their 1st day3. Teammate Communications
Assist with posting and maintaining teammate communications and communicating items to the managers and supervisors team.Support the HR Generalist by being available to teammates for questionsHelp teammates understand policies, procedures and cultureBe available to teammates for questions, including potentially at other local facilitiesCommunicate with HR Generalist –questions, issues, concerns, policy exception requests, abuse of policies, compliance concerns, challenges, etc.4. Provides benefits related administrative support and project management
Creates and distributes benefits notices and other communications for teammatesProvides support for open enrollment meetings and enrollment at the facilitiesPerforms benefits auditsAssists with benefits compliance projects and processes5. Retention
Conducts exit interviews as neededAssists with material planning and preparationSupport HR Generalist teammate engagement efforts6. All other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to work with a variety of software application programs, including UKG, Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, etc.Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of timeAbility to correctly retrieve and input data in computerMust be a team player with strong interpersonal skillsAbility to maintain confidentialityMust have excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to research, reason and effectively resolve problemsMust be able to work independently, take initiative, organize and prioritizeAbility to exercise judgement and discretion in completing assignments which may include sensitive or confidential informationKnowledge of HR functions, laws, regulations, and trendsReasonable accommodations may be made to those who are able to perform the essential duties of the job.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Prefer Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 2-4 years of Human Resources experience. Formal education may be substituted with experience and training when competency in the position is demonstrated.

This work is performed in an office setting with minimal to moderate noise due to computers, printers, and people.
