The Financial Operations Analyst will be responsible for supporting the operations and financial teams by ensuring the adoption and effective use of Information Technology and Data Analytics platforms, accurate and efficient processing of financial transactions, assisting in the preparation of financial reports, and providing analytical support to the Southeast offices. Reporting to the VP of Finance and the Regional Operating Officer, Eastern US, the Financial Operations Analyst will work to identify areas for process improvement and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Partner with Information Technology and Data Analytics teams on the adoption and effective utilization of technology and data platforms.
Partner with the Information Technology and Data Analytics teams on process enhancements and the implementation of the enhancements.
Review contracts, approve and maintain data integrity to ensure legal compliance for pipeline deals in XRM system, ensuring compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
Responsible for onboarding and offboarding of all Transwestern's Atlanta administrative team members.
Provide administrative operational and financial support such as expense reports, data entry, invoice approvals, and others as required.
Perform other operational analytical functions, as assigned.
Maintain and update financial databases, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information.
Prepare and post journal entries (accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, etc.) as needed, performing account analysis, and developing explanations for significant variances.
Review general ledger accounts and perform regular reconciliations of accounts as needed for accuracy, completeness and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis and forecasting.
Provide support in the development and monitoring of budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Run Accounts Receivable aging schedules, monitor, communicate and coordinate with the administrative team to follow up with clients to request payment and arrange payment plans.
Review and approve supplier invoices and employee expense reimbursements entered into Workday.
Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial transactions.
Perform various ad-hoc financial analyses and reporting as required by management.
Learn and utilize systems and tools for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis, possessing a thorough understanding to assist team members with the systems and tools, as needed.
Perform other financial analytical functions, as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
A bachelor's degree with emphasis in accounting, finance, or a related field.
2 - 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Strong understanding of basic financial principles, including accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve financial discrepancies and operational issues.
Adept in analyzing financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Ability to maintain accuracy and consistency in handling financial data and transactions.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial software systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, Oracle).
Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with a willingness to assist others and share knowledge.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Dedicated to performing duties at the highest standard consistently.
Capable of managing multiple projects and a heavy workload in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to think creatively and act with urgency when needed.
Possess a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion in handling sensitive information.
