When you step into a career with AT&T, you won't just imagine the future-you'll create it.About the Job:This role is responsible for supervising a team of data pipeline engineers and Power BI developers with the goal of producing valuable insights to the CTX organization around Agile measurements such a flow metrics, quality, Planning Interval views, etc. This is a highly collaborative role interfacing with both stakeholders and peer teamsTechnical Oversight:Code Reviews: Conducting code reviews to ensure best practices and coding standards are followedData Pipeline Management: Overseeing the development and maintenance of ETL/ELT processesBI Development: Supervising the creation and maintenance of Power BI dashboards, reports, and data modelsTroubleshooting: Assisting in troubleshooting technical issues and providing solutionsSkill Development: Identifying training needs and organizing workshops or training sessions for team membersMentorship: Providing guidance and mentoring to junior developers and engineersKnowledge Sharing: Encouraging knowledge sharing within the team through regular meetings or documentationTeam Management and Coordination:Daily Stand-ups: Conducting daily stand-up meetings to review progress, discuss obstacles, and plan daily tasks utilizing a kanban methodologyTask Assignment: Allocating tasks and projects based on team members' skills and workloadPerformance Monitoring: Monitoring the performance of team members and providing regular feedbackConflict Resolution: Addressing any interpersonal issues or conflicts within the team promptlyDocumentation: Ensuring proper documentation of all processes, projects, and codeProject Management:Project Planning: Developing project plans, timelines, and milestones for data and BI initiativesProgress Tracking: Ensuring projects are on track and making adjustments as neededStakeholder Communication: Communicating with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and manage expectations.Quality Assurance: Ensuring the quality of deliverables meets the organization's standards"Process Improvement:Best Practices: Implementing and promoting best practices in data management and BI developmentProcess Optimization: Continuously seeking ways to optimize workflows and processes for better efficiencyTool Evaluation: Evaluating and recommending new tools or technologies that can improve team performance"Compliance and Security:Data Governance: Ensuring compliance with data governance policies and standardsSecurity Protocols: Implementing and monitoring security protocols to protect sensitive data"Collaboration:Collaboration across Business Operations on metrics and measurements toensure data quality, validate findings, and share recommended actionsCross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely with other departments such as Chief Security Office, Chief Data Office, Agile CoE and management to align on goals and requirementsInnovation and Strategy:Strategic Planning: Contributing to the strategic planning of the data and analytics roadmapInnovation: Encouraging innovative solutions and the adoption of new technologies within the teamQualifications:Technical SkillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related fieldMinimum of Three (3) years of experience with Azure CloudMinimum of Three (3) years of experience in building and optimizing Power BI reports and dashboardsExperience in custom ETL design, implementation, and maintenanceExperience with schema design and dimensional data modelingExperience with Python, SCALA, SPARK, .NETExperience with SQL programmingExperience with machine learning and automationExperience with AI is not required but a plusDesired skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to present complex technical information in a clear manner to peers, developers, and senior leadersExperience with data presentation and visualization best practicesExperience with PowerBIComprehensive understanding of scaled agile methodologies and nomenclatureExperience in client engagements, interpreting client's business challenges, and recommendations for business stakeholdersExperience developing visualization such as reports, charts, tables, and other visual aids in support of findingsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrable passion to dig into terabytes of data and quickly construct toolsOur Assoc Director-Technology II, earns between $174,100.00-$261,100.00 USD Annual, Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers.
