Title: Technical Support Specialist Level II
About the role:
The Level II Information Technology Specialist will manage and maintain our company's network, hardware, and software infrastructure. This position demands advanced technical expertise to support our organization's high-performance computing environment. Working closely with other IT professionals, you will provide solutions to optimize the software and network for performance, availability, and security. Work with employees onsite as well as remote.
Location & Hours:
Location: Hybrid - 3 days in office and 2 days at homeOffice location: Suite 370, 1000 Jorie Blvd., Oakbrook, IL 60523 (Hybrid)Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Central, On-Call Rotation as required.Responsibilities:
User Support: Provide second-level support to end-users for computer, application, system, device, access, and hardware issues.Incident Management: Investigate, diagnose, and resolve Level II incidents, service requests and help desk.Systems Administration: Administer servers, backup operations, and network-related tasks, ensuring optimal system performance.Infrastructure Maintenance: Conduct regular system audits and software updates, including patches and configurations.Security Oversight: Monitor the security of all technology systems, taking appropriate steps to block malicious actors and unauthorized access.Documentation: Document installation and configuration procedures, contributing to the internal knowledge base.Project Management: Collaborate with IT project teams, contributing to implementing approved network or system changes and projects.Training: As required, provide technical training and assistance to other team members and users.Qualifications/ Experience:
Minimum of five years in IT support roles, must have Azure experience, Microsoft 365, Intune, Windows Server, Azure Active Directory, and project management.Certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, MCSA, or CCNA are preferred.Solid understanding of Azure Virtual Machine management.Familiarity with various software applications, including antivirus, backup, and business applications.Excellent problem-solving skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Candidates must be able to report to 1000 Jorie Blvd, Oak Brook, IL within a 45-minute window and with short notice.Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and prioritization skills required to ensure efficiencyStrong time management, organizational skills and discipline to work remoteStrong verbal and written communication skillsEducation:
A Computer Science, Information Technology degree or significant on-the-job work experience.Certifications in related areas will be considered.
