RCC seeks applicants for the

Student Development Specialist

position who share RCC's values of integrity, diversity, equity, and inclusion, excellence, access, and learning for life. This is a 12-month, classified staff position. RCC has an excellent benefits package, and the anticipated hiring range is $40,000 - $49,000, commensurate with experience. This position is located at the Glenns Campus, with occasional travel to the Warsaw campus.

Reporting to the Dean of Student Development, the Student Development Specialist is the lead administrative assistant for the Student Development division. This position assists students and visitors at the Glenns Welcome Desk and acts as the first point of contact for students and the general public needing information about the college or the services offered by the Student Development division. The incumbent performs purchasing functions, schedules staff meetings, prepares agendas and records minutes, and assists students in scheduling appointments with Financial Aid, the Dean of Student Development and others. The position manages mail and assists others with the implementation of Student Development programs and activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

Administrative assistant experience.Strong ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.Strong customer service skills.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse college and community populations.Preferred Qualifications:

Purchasing experience.Experience in a college setting.
