Currently responsible for the following hospitals but are subject to change: Condell, Masonic, Good Shepherd, Good Samaritan, Lutheran and Sherman.
Major Responsibilities:Directs the development and oversees a cost-effective, centralized process to receive, store, and distribute medical/surgical, laboratory, office supplies/forms, and other products and services which includes centralized warehousing of supplies. Responsible for the attainment of maximum savings in total delivered cost of supplies and services.Evaluates the relationship between supply inventories, reimbursement and revenue capture to assess alternative supply chain solutions to realize uncaptured revenue opportunities.Presents program initiatives and results to corporate staff and internal hospital customers, documenting program savings for senior administration. Ensures physicians, department leadership, and staff are properly educated and trained to maximize the utilization of resources and minimize distribution costs.Collaborates with purchasing and finance to ensure accurate purchasing, accounting, payment, and charging for all goods and services.Directs value analysis processes to evaluate and implement supply chain initiatives which includes product changes and conversion at the site based level.Implements key supply chain related tactics that include but are not limited to; automated point-of-use replenishment systems, Just in Time (JIT), Stockless Systems, centralized warehousing. Directs the development, implementation, and maintenance of automated (bar coded, and hand held) inventory and receiving systems.Directs and develops vendor partnerships through establishing a vendor management process at the site based hospital level.Ensures distribution services and processes are integrated across the system and shipments and storage points are consolidated to lower transportation, administrative, inventory and storage costs.Evaluates and implements technology to provide integrated communication, planning, tracking and execution tools to achieve lowest total delivered cost: bar-coding, RF technology, and ECI/e-Commerce.Acts as one of Aurora's primary representatives in the development of innovative internal and external supply delivery systems.Performs human resources responsibilities for staff which include interviewing and selection of new employees, promotions, staff development, performance evaluations, compensation changes, resolution of employee concerns, corrective actions, terminations, and overall employee morale.Develops and recommends operating and capital budgets and controls expenditures within approved budget objectives.Responsible for understanding and adhering to the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct and for ensuring that personal actions, and the actions of employees supervised, comply with the policies, regulations and laws applicable to the organization's business.Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:

Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field.Experience Required:
Typically requires 7 years of experience in distribution services, supply chain, or purchasing. Includes 3 years of management experience in managing distribution processes and practices within a large integrated health care delivery system.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
In-depth knowledge of Just In Time, Stockless Systems and Electronic Data Interchange Processes with exposure to broader issues such as Continuous Replenishment Processes or Vendor Managed Inventories.Skills in designing, administering and evaluating programs and practices to maximize department and organizational efficiency.Ability to develop strategic/tactical plans to meet business objectives in a large healthcare system. Proven ability to develop sound proposals and successfully implement project plans.Ability to function in a complex corporate system environment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and to address difficult and issues.Demonstrated ability to create a superior service organization to ensure quality and commitment to user satisfaction.Excellent analytical, quantitative and qualitative skills to facilitate effective decision-making. Ability to identify and solve problems creatively, to work within deadlines with a high attention to detail and to work independently in a fast paced, dynamic environment.Knowledge of Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and National Fire Protection Organization requirements.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Position may require travel which may result in exposure to road and weather hazards.Exposed to normal office environment.Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
