We are looking for an experienced Manager of Land Entitlements to join our Land Development and Acquisition team in Alabama. This role is responsible for leading the due diligence, land planning and entitlement efforts for all new land acquisition projects as we continue to grow the Alabama division.

Essential Functions:
Manages and directs all aspects of the land entitlement process for new communitiesPrepares project estimates, lot matrices and final land development budgetsOversees the preparation, submittal and approval of all subdivision related plans and permitsServe as the Division's liaison with regulatory agencies when preparing, modifying, or obtaining the necessary zoning, land planning, land use and permittingMeet with government staff and officials to obtain necessary approvalsOversee and coordinate public hearings and variancesVets and engages all third-party consultants related to land planning and engineeringProvides technical guidance and assists in the development of land packages for investment committee approvalGenerates and validates lot development specifications for land purchase contractsProvides technical assistance for title and survey review
Minimum Job Requirements:
Education: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Urban Planning, Real Estate, or related field
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience related to land planning land use or entitlements
Other:Knowledge of value engineering principles associated with engineering plan reviewProficiency with Microsoft Office applicationsStrong communication skillsTeam player yet able to work independentlyStrong planning and organizational skillsDetail oriented with a positive, problem-solving mentality
