Role Summary:

The Compliance Administrator performs a variety of records management tasks, including but not limited to researching, analyzing, and processing credit union records. This position maintains digital and paper filing system in compliance with administrative, legal, and financial requirements; maintains retention and disposal schedules; and destroys and archives records appropriately.

What You Will Be Doing:Under the direction of Compliance leadership, establishes, implements, and maintains a repository and a system for indexing and categorization of forms, documents, and disclosures, including but not limited to, the tracking of revisions and historical use data, updates, record retention, active or inactive status, and where each is utilized (website(s), links, new membership packets, online/digital banking applications, etc.)Assists in developing, maintaining, and/or training team members on credit union retention policies, procedures, retention practices, disclosures, and forms.In collaboration with other appropriate departments, ensures proper and timely disposition of records.Creates reports, correspondence and other materials as requested by management.As required, creates, updates, and maintains all documents, forms, and disclosures for accuracy, consistency, compliance and for proper use as intended.Manages to a defined process for retrieval and review whenever departments require or request updates.Establishes processes and procedures to be followed for business unit maintenance requests; maintains rapport and a regular schedule for contacting business unit leaders to assess or recommend the need for document changes or edits.Maintains up-to-date product knowledge and has a full understanding of the forms, documentation, and disclosures associated with all product offerings, marketing efforts, and promotional offerings.Assists in tracking of corrective action resulting from audits, exams, internal reviews, risk assessments, and other areas.Assists with monitoring and auditing a variety of reports to ensure compliance with the credit union's policies, procedures, and regulations.Utilizes information systems as they relate to the needs, requirements and issues pertaining to regulatory compliance.Performs administrative support as necessary for completion of assigned tasks and other job-related duties as assigned by the Regulatory Compliance Manager or VP of Compliance.Maintains knowledge base of required regulations associated with the required compliance monitoring.Regularly communicates in a tactful manner with the credit union team members because of follow-up to monitoring compliance tasks.Attends credit union training sessions, conferences, or seminars as approved by the Regulatory Compliance Manager and/or VP of Compliance.Maintains awareness of policies and regulations related to duties and responsibilities.Participates in special department projects as requested.Keeps Compliance leadership informed of key operating issues affecting areas of responsibility.May serve as a member of a project team(s) in the capacity of a compliance resource for the implementation of technology, processes, procedures, or the development of training materials and/or act as a compliance resource for the credit union.Ensures that all work, updates, change requests, and compliance reviews are completed in a timely and efficient manner.About You:

What You Will Need:

High school diploma or equivalent required.Three to five years of experience in the financial industry is preferred.One to three years of similar or related experience.Understanding of reporting requirements of regulatory agencies relevant to assigned tasks.Good communication skills both written and oral. Courtesy, tact and diplomacy to be exercised while giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or dealing with staff and members.Display values including mutual respect, trust, honesty and dignity, and acting in the best interest of the credit union. Lead by example by displaying solid ethics and integrity at all times.Some travel required to complete credit union training or approved professional training.
