Job Title:

HR Operations Manager

Salary Range : $75,000 - $85,000

Type : Full-Time, Exempt

Location : Denver, Colorado

Position Objective

The HR Operations Manager plays a vital role in supporting and managing HR operations, with a focus on payroll administration, workforce reporting, leave management, and HRMS system administration. This position ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, provides critical reporting and analytics, and supports the overall functionality and integration of HR systems. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach to enhancing HR processes and efficiencies.

Essential Functions

Payroll Administration & Reporting (30%)Oversee payroll processing to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely payments.Manage payroll reporting requirements, including quarterly and annual filings, and support payroll audits.Collaborate HR teams and finance to address and resolve payroll-related inquiries and issues.Workforce Reporting (State, Federal, etc.) (20%)

Ensure compliance with state and federal reporting requirements (e.g., EEO-1, ACA, VETS-4212).Prepare and submit accurate and timely workforce reports as required by law and company policies.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of reporting regulations and implement necessary changes.Administer unemployment claims, ensuring proper documentation and response to state agencies.Leave of Absence Management (20%)

Manage leave of absence programs (FMLA, ADA, state-specific leaves, etc.) and track employee leave statuses.Serve as a point of contact for employees on leave to ensure accurate processing.Reporting and Analytics (15%)

Generate and analyze HR metrics, including turnover, retention, and headcount reports, to support strategic decision-making.Prepare regular and ad hoc reports on HR activities, compliance, and workforce trends for HR leadership.Collaborate with other departments to identify key metrics for continuous improvement and efficiency in HR operations.HRMS System Administration, Integrations, & Support (15%)

Manage and maintain the HRMS system, ensuring data integrity, system security, and effective functioning.Lead system upgrades, testing, and integrations with other platforms, collaborating with IT and external vendors as needed.Provide training and support to HR team members and employees on HRMS functions and troubleshooting.Please note that the percentage allocations are a general estimate and may vary based on business needs and priorities.

Requirements

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.5+ years of experience in HR operations, payroll administration, or HRMS management.Strong understanding of HR processes, compliance requirements, and payroll practices.Proficiency in HRMS systems and advanced Excel skills.Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality.Working Conditions

(Schedule, Environment, Travel)

Office based position, Monday through Friday (approximately 8:00AM to 5:00PM).Working hours may vary depending on business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays.Ability to obtain and maintain an active Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) badge in the state of Colorado.
