Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Data Center Engineer to support an IC customer on a recently awarded 10 year contract at Wright-Patterson AFB. This position requires a TS/SCI clearance and eligibility to obtain a CI polygraph
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develops computer systems specifications that fit with the government's system architecture standards. Establishes and documents system parameters and formats, ensures hardware and software systems compatibility and coordinates and/or modifies system parameters in terms of existing and projected computer capacity and capabilities.Revises existing systems and procedures to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling, conversion, input/output requirements, and storage.Responsible for installation and maintenance of storage, networking, and server hardware.Ensures availability of development systems to end users through continuous system monitoring and issue remediation.Applies required security updates and implementations mandated by DoD cyber security regulations.Oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.REQUIRED SKILLS & CAPABILITIES:
Linux administration experience - 3 year or more experienceExperience in Netapp storage managementExperience with Cisco switch and networking managementExperience with ESXI VM managementPreference to administrators experienced with Windows server managementAbility to travel 0-20% to local area sites as well as other locations with similar architecture/footprint.EDUCTION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and years of experience.Must have Security+ certification or DoD 8570 Level II equivalent within 90 days of hireTS/SCI Clearance required and eligibility to obtain CI PolyBenefits and Perks
