Job Summary

We are seeking a TS/SCI cleared Microsoft Windows Server Engineer for a contract with an Intelligence Community agency in Chantilly, VA.

Position Overview

Candidates with proven depth creating solutions with Microsoft Windows Server and Microsoft Exchange will be positioned for success in our organization. Additional experience with the design, deployment and management of Microsoft cloud solutions would be a differentiator. The selected candidate will design, build and deploy, and administer large scale multi-domain enterprise Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange, and Azure, M365, and O365 environments. Additionally, engineers will build, maintain and migrate a variety of physical and virtual systems to on-premises, cloud, or hybrid infrastructures. Engineers will provide support to multiple globally dispersed WAN connected sites. Embracing the DevOps model, engineers will be responsible for supporting their solutions throughout the entire IT project lifecycle, to include refining requirements, creating design documentation, creating installation instructions and deployment plans, and providing O&M support. Project assignments will vary based on skill level, and may include engineering geographically dispersed services, integrating services into public, private and hybrid cloud environments, engineering solutions to be deployed via automated CM tools, and hardening the solutions to address security and SCAP compliance.

Responsibilities:Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems utilizing both on-premises and cloud-based hosting technologiesAnalyze requirements and system architectures to develop system requirements specifications and resulting design plansAdminister, operate, manage and maintain components for on-premises and cloud-based virtualized systemsReviews completion and implementation of system additions and/or enhancements and makes recommendations to management and/or clientsPlans and directs upgrades of Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange, and Azure/M365 infrastructure and related componentsDesign and administer Configuration Management tools and suites and Patch Management solutions for desired state configuration and baseline management and controlRequired Skills :

Deep understanding of Microsoft Exchange 2016 & 2019 structure to include: database structure; mail routing and related protocolsKnowledge of Microsoft Exchange and it's interaction with Active DirectoryFamiliarity with Exchange OnlineUnderstanding of Exchange Hybrid designs and operationsUnderstanding of directory sync into Azure ADArchitectural understanding of M365 security constructs and data protections such as DLP, RMS/IRM, Azure Information ProtectionExperience managing Office 365 using PowerShellExperience with Microsoft Windows Server Active Directory design and implementation optionsExperience with Group Policy ManagementExperience with Windows DNS and DHCPExperience with Windows Server 2016 & 2019Experience and strong understanding of File and Storage Services, to include Distributed File System (DFS) Replication and Namespace managementExperience with Microsoft Windows automation scripting with PowerShell or other scripting languagesExperience building/managing servers in the AWS (Amazon Web Services) environment is desired.Experience with managing work tasks via tools such as JIRA and ServiceNowSystem configuration based on security guidelines such as DISA STIGsBenefits and Perks
