Position Summary
Brooklyn Winery is seeking a talented salesperson with 5+ years experience in wedding sales to join its sales team and effectively maintain and grow event bookings. This position requires a personable, knowledgeable, and driven manager to maximize available inventory, meet with newly engaged couples, and passionately sell our amazing venue.
Core Responsibilities
Working as part of the sales team to meet monthly booking goals by: Managing all social event inquiries Taking clients through the full sales process from qualification, first appointment to post-booking, including but not limited to: Responding to inquiries, conducting qualifying calls, booking appointments Conducting on-site walk-through appointments Building client relationships Contract negotiations, closing & booking Collect deposits, additional payments and assist in final payment invoicing Follow-up and client maintenance until client is introduced to their event manager Meeting monthly sales goals and accurately tracking projections Updating, implementing and maintaining all sales collateral and website language in conjunction with the Field Marketing Manager and Director of Sales Attendance and participation at weekly sales and events meetings Continuously creating the vision of a unique venue experience for clients in line with Brooklyn Winery's brand Networking within the greater NY metropolitan area wedding industry to foster long lasting relationships with planners, industry influencers and vendors Attend all client wedding menu tastings and engage productively with existing clients Role Requirements
Bachelor's degree, ideally in Hospitality Management, Communications, or related degree from an accredited university 5+ years of experience in wedding/social event sales Knowledge of the local wedding market and ability to successfully network within the industry to create awareness and drive revenue to the venue. Ability to negotiate and close deals consistently. Demonstrated ability to work with maximum accuracy, efficiency and attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with clients; must demonstrate professional phone and business etiquette. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and outgoing. Flexible schedule with weekends and nights available. Ability to establish productive relationships with people at all levels. Ability to thrive independently as well as in a team environment. Must demonstrate proficient knowledge and use of computer and basic programs (e.g., Google Suite including Google Docs & Spreadsheets). Knowledge of Tripleseat is a plus Compensation and Benefits
