Benefit Investigator - Job Overview:
Responsible for processing referrals received from referral sourcesEnsures that all required documentation has been received to process the referral timelyEnsures Intake referral checklists are completeEnters patient demographic, insurance and authorization information into the computer systemObtains authorizations and re-authorizations as required by payers and documents this in the computer systemEnsures that insurance verification is completed, and authorization is in place or requested prior to giving the referral to a pharmacistUnderstands which insurance companies have contracts with companyCommunicates with other departments including Sales and pharmacy staff regarding the status of the referrals and any authorization requirements and out of pocket cost required to be collected before deliveryCompletes documentation of progress notes in computer systemNotifies patients/caregivers regarding insurance coverage and payment responsibilitiesBenefit Investigator - Schedule:
Monday - Friday standard business hours
Benefit Investigator- Pay & Benefits:
