We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Account Leader to oversee key client relationships across Southern California. This role requires a professional with a proven track record in business development, client management, and strategic growth within the municipal water and wastewater engineering sector. As an Account Leader, you will be responsible for serving as the main point of contact for several clients, working directly with them to understand their needs, and delivering tailored solutions. You will leverage your network and relationships to grow existing business and acquire new clients, contributing to the overall growth of our Southern California market presence.

In this position, you will collaborate closely with client account teams, supporting business development efforts, creating account plans, and strengthening client relationships. Your leadership will be key in negotiating critical issues with clients, building strategic partnerships, and ensuring a collaborative approach to project delivery. You will foster positive, ongoing client dialogue through one-on-one meetings, workshops, and consultative activities, all aimed at driving market momentum and achieving business goals. Additionally, you will play a key role in developing and mentoring local teams, strategically positioning them for success in both new and ongoing pursuits.

You will work across multiple business lines to identify opportunities for growth, ensuring that solutions are developed in line with client needs. Travel may be required for client meetings and business development activities.

Required Qualifications

The candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering, with a focus on water/wastewater engineering. You should have at least 15 years of sales and business development experience within the municipal water and wastewater market and possess a California Professional Engineering License.

Key Skills and Attributes

A strong candidate will have excellent client relationship skills, including experience preparing proposals and managing client expectations. You should also have a proven track record of sales success, generating at least $5 million annually, and possess established relationships with clients and colleagues throughout Southern California's municipal market. Additionally, experience managing the full client relationship lifecycle-from pursuit through project delivery-is essential, as is expertise in selling water/wastewater engineering services to municipal clients
