Job Description
We are currently seeking a PLC Control Programmer for our manufacturing / bottling facility to support and actively manage troubleshooting and preventative maintenance program to maximize equipment availability, reduce unplanned stoppages, reduce energy, and water usage.
Factory Location :Ontario, CaliforniaCompensation :$45.00 - $47.50 / hourShift differential :6%-8% of base hourly rate paid for applicable hours workedSchedule :4 to 5 days / week, 12-hour shiftsAbility to work holidays and weekends per business needsMust be able to attend training for up to 3 months during the day, start time 5:00 am

Skills Required:- Troubleshoot and diagnose cause of electronic or mechanical malfunctions using knowledge, manuals, SOPs, specifications, and other workplace aids- Program and modify new and existing PLC programs- Resolve and repair all system faults and anomalies associated with installation, operation, maintenance, and connectivity problems including changes, adjustments, and modifications to control code and standard operating parameters- Write and debug PLC Logic and make recommendations for major corrective actions- Troubleshoot problems dealing with plant instrumentation and automation equipment to include but not limited to valves; pressure; temperature; level, flow, conductivity, speed, force instruments; motor controls; PLC's, HMI's, etc.- Obtain drawings, instructional manuals, and special procedures, as needed, from files or other sources. Make any additional sketches, diagrams, etc., as necessary- Develop applications using Human Machine Interfaces- Ability to integrate PLC-based code into information gathering systems -Working Knowledge of Ethernet/Device Net/DH+/ControlNet/Remote I/O Systems- Perform maintenance tasks to include repairing, planning, coordinating, and improving, from minor rebuilds to major overhauls on all equipment- Identify processing waste reduction opportunities and manage waste reduction projects- Communicate, coach, and train employees to continuously improve the team's ability to respond to equipment failures and loss of production- Areas of responsibility will include but are not limited to: Production support, Mechanical Room, Water Processing, Boiler Room, Wastewater Treatment, and Water Chemical Treatment Program
Qualifications
Requirements/Qualifications:- Five or more years proven maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience; additional technical training or certifications preferred- Intermediate working knowledge level of PLC programming and automation- Strong technical knowledge of compressed air systems (pneumatics), electrical systems, hydraulics, and water processing- Must be self-managed and efficient when performing work unsupervised- Proficient computer navigation skills, including the use of Microsoft Office applications- Available for call-ins or to cover all shifts to support production teams as required- Be able to work flexible schedule as determined by business needs- Must be able to foster and build a team- Must be willing and able to train other mechanics; ability to adapt to other's learning styles is imperative- Develop and prepare necessary reports and maintain daily documentation- Must be able to do physical inspections of equipment that will require climbing, reaching, and extending arms overhead
