Looking for a talented Director of Food & Beverage to join our team and significantly contribute to reopen our newly remodeled resort in the American Riviera, Santa Barbara!
What you will do:
The Director of Food and Beverage forms part of the Resort Leadership team who collectively make key strategic and operational decisions for the Resort. The Director manages the Food & Beverage Operation which includes all restaurants, bars & lounges, banqueting, room service and private bars.
The primary responsibilities for this position are to ensure our guests receive the highest level of food quality and service, manage, and develop a team, devise and monitor an annual budget, manage labor control and operating expenses and develop relationships with key suppliers and industry associates.
What you bring:
We are looking for individuals who have:
* Prior Director of Food and Beverage experience (no less than 3 years) in a luxury hotel/resort, with proven record leading fine dining concepts.
* Internationally versed and multi-venue experience with a driven spirit and skill set to deliver on luxury operations including banquet operations, in room dining experiences, and memorable private events.
* Substantial pre-opening experience is strongly preferred.
* Solid knowledge of Food & Beverage Service and Culinary operations.
* Strong leadership, interpersonal and analytical skills, able to prioritize and adapt to the changing needs of the operation.
* Work ethic, good business acumen and a passion for service.
* Must have creativity, flair, and a strong innovative mindset.
* Excellent communication skills and a strong, innovative approach.
* Strong community relations, ability to motivate and lead a team of professionals.
* Elevated cross-cultural sensitivity, and guest centricity orientation.
* College degree preferably specializing in hotel/restaurant management or business administration, or equivalent is required.
* Ability to operate computer equipment and knowledge of Open Table and Microsoft applications. Previous experience with MICROS or other POS systems required.
* Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language. Spanish preferred.
* Must be able to obtain any required food handling or sanitation certifications required by local or state agencies.
* This position requires an applicant with a flexible schedule and the ability to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays. Day and evening shifts.
