WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE

The ideal candidate will fabricate, layout, position, align, fit, and weld parts of structural metal parts pipe layout including sanitary welding process.

Position, align, fit, and weld parts to form complete units or subunits by following blueprints and layout specificationsUse MIG and TIG welders, plasma cutters, grinders and hand toolsVerify conformance of work pieces to specifications, using squares, levels, and measuring tapesTack-weld fitted parts togetherLayout and examine metal stock or work pieces to be processed to ensure that specifications are metAlign and fit parts according to specifications, using jacks, turnbuckles, wedges, drift pins, pry bars, and hammersLocate, mark work piece bending, cutting lines; allowing for stock thickness, machine and welding shrinkage, and other component specificationsMove parts into position, manually, with hoists, or cranesSet up and operate fabricating machines such as, shear, Ironworker, drill press, pipe bender and band saw to bend cut, form, punch, drill or otherwise form and assemble metal componentsWill fit stainless and carbon steel schedule pipe, as well as sanitary process pipingSetup and operate orbital welder facing machine , purging process & hand weldingUse aerial man lifts to install equipment and utilitiesOther duties as assigned.WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Minimum Qualifications:

High School/GED or two to five years' experience in related field or combination of both education and experienceValid Driver License and clean driving recordRequired Skills and Abilities:

Work safely and efficientlyAble to read blueprintsAble to competently weld stainless and carbon steel using MIG and TIG processesDetail-oriented and enjoy working in a fast paced environmentAble to perform a broad range of dutiesGood communication skills and problem-solving skillsKnowledge of basic mathematic skillsPass and maintain forklift certificationPreferred Qualifications:

Experience in shearing and breaking preferredPHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Able to lift up to 50 poundsEnvironmental exposure - inclement weather and/or cold storage temperatures (40 ° or below)Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicalsAble to work up to 50 feet above the groundAble to work in confined space areasHOURS & WORKDAYS:

1st Shift - 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM; Overtime, Weekends, and Holidays may be mandatory based on business needs. Rotating workday/time off schedules may be mandatory depending on department/business needs as well.
