The General Ledger and Financial Reporting Analyst will play a critical role in supporting our Business Process Services (BPS) by managing the general ledger controls for our clients. This role involves daily input validation from Policy Administration Systems (PAS) and other financial systems, error correction, and ensuring the accuracy of ledger feeds from our system to the client. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting knowledge, experience in insurance systems, and the ability to manage ledger processes for new clients.
Key Responsibilities:
General Ledger Management:
Support the BPS general ledger controls for clients, including daily input validation from PAS and other financial systems.
Correct errors from ledger feeds and validate the accuracy of the ledger feed from our system to the client.
Manage the general ledger system and process flow for new clients, particularly during the conversion of customer business into the BPS environment.
Service Level Agreements (SLAs):
Ensure daily ledger feeds to clients are released by 11 am CST.
Deliver monthly ledger feeds to clients by the 1st, 3rd, or 5th business day following month-end, depending on client requirements.
Review and document daily ledger controls immediately following each cycle (minimum of 2 cycles/day).
Financial Reporting:
Contribute to the financial reporting team responsible for supplemental financial reporting tasks for clients.
Process additional calculations, financial entries, and cash settlements beyond daily ledger feeds, including reinsurance processing.
Record ceding and assumption entries monthly between customer companies.
Complete wire requests for various intercompany and intra-company settlements and provide backup for accrual calculations.
Project Support:
Support projects related to new ledger requirements, review, and implementation on insurance policy administration systems.
Ensure compliance with controls, reporting, research, and validations for accounting ledger validation.
Qualifications:
Required:
Strong knowledge of insurance accounting.
Experience in controls and validations, particularly for accounting ledger validation.
Ability to research, comprehend, and correct errors in accounting systems.
Experience in project management, especially in production and ledger process implementation.
Preferred:
Knowledge of insurance systems such as CyberLife, wmA/Vantage, etc.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
Experience with systems like ABC ledger and Mainframe EIS.
Experience with PAS (Policy Administration Systems) or similar administrative systems.
Other Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Working environment:
Remote, any USA city.
Flexible schedule between 6:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. CST, Monday to Friday (8 hours per day).

Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $58,500 - $108,600.
Full-time hires are eligible to participate in the DXC benefit program.
