Mizuho’s onboarding team is to be a resource to our internal (front office) and external (clients) stakeholders by becoming the central point of contact as related to the client onboarding process. The onboarder functions in close partnership with sales and operations to ensure an efficient and timely onboarding to the Mizuho infrastructure. Client onboarding plays a critical role in introducing new clients to our organization as well as ensuring full due diligence is done with respect to new and existing relationships.
Responsibilities
Central Point of Contact for Client Onboarding for the Business and Clients
Ensure collection of all appropriate KYC/Due Diligence documentation prior to client onboarding and account opening
Utilize internal systems for workflow management and data storage.
Respond to queries regarding the status of onboarding requests.
Facilitate the credit requirements and compliance documentation process to complete onboardings across all asset class.
Build strong working relationships and liaise with internal and external dependents including Clients, Sales, Trading, Credit, Legal and Operations
Facilitate account maintenance as requested by the Client and/or internal stakeholders.
Focus on delivering a seamless and smooth "white glove client experience"
Qualifications
B.S. Degree or equivalent
Experience in financial services, preferably Investment Banking.
Client onboarding experience is preferable. Knowledge of KYC and due diligence requirements is a must.
Strong client focus and ability to partner with various internal groups and front office.
Must possess a strong control mindset with the ability to identify and fix gaps.
Individual must be results driven, pay attention to detail and be willing to break down barriers and obstacles
Ability to directly address conflicts and escalate issues where appropriate.
Strong communication skills are a must.
Excellent analytical, problem solving, and time management skills
Adaptable, flexible and willing to work in a dynamic environment.
Comfortable working with a team and individually to deliver results.
The expected base salary ranges from $62,000 - $125,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
