The Accounting Manager provides support for financial functions including general ledger accounting, shared services, Sarbanes Oxley compliance and various external audits. This individual will also be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of the organization's fiscal records and preparation of its internal financial reports.

Major Responsibilities

Assists in directing the organization's overall financial policies. Responsible for a wide variety of general ledger accounting and statistical data and reports financial statements such as balance sheet, profit-and-loss statement, cash flow and related supplementary reporting schedules/charts.

Assists with coordinating and executing an adequate plan for the control of operations. Such a plan provides accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, inventory, together with the necessary controls and procedures to effectuate the plan.

Works closely across other departments and internally with the accounting group in providing financial services support. Develops strong working relationships across the company in order to better understand business needs and to provide superior accounting services and support. May participate and, at times, will lead cross-functional teams within and outside of the finance department.

Provides reports and interprets the results of operation to the highest levels of management. Researches special assignments and provides meaningful analysis and recommendations to upper management. Assists with the formulation of accounting policies. Responsible for the preparation of internal financial statements and operating data, coordination of systems and procedures, and special reports as required.

Assures protection for the assets of the business through internal control (Sarbanes Oxley) compliance.

Assists with various external audits as defined by the Controller.

Establishes and implements a sound operational and organizational plan in direct support of the business plan.

Spots and corrects irregularities and inconsistencies in financial information. Ensures the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles.

Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Plans, leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Assists in the management of all financial functions including general ledger accounting, shared services, Sarbanes Oxley compliance and various outside audits.

Minimum Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance

5-8 years of experience in business and finance in a senior financial role

Multi-faceted direction and planning in a manufacturing or service environment

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Knowledge of database and general ledger accounting computer application systems to supply the most accurate financial information under tight deadlines

Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley, GAAP, and FASB

Preferred Job Requirements

Master’s degree

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA)

Experience with Microsoft Power BI

Experience with OneStream
