Overview
The Network Engineer will work closely with the Network Operations manager to design, implement and maintain network infrastructure for the enterprise organization, including on-prem and cloud data centers. The ideal candidate should be knowledgeable in networking concepts, and have experience configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting network devices.
Responsibilities
Manage and support enterprise network infrastructure for 140+ offices, hybrid data center (on-prem and Azure data center) environment
Manage and troubleshoot Palo Alto Global Protect VPN and site-to-site VPN Connectivity via Palo Alto firewalls using Panorama
Configure branch offices and remote users through Prisma Access, Prisma Cloud
Manage the design and execution of networking projects. Including coordinating with stakeholders, project plan and dividing tasks among team members
Provide day-to-day operational support for network devices such as switches, SDWAN, wireless, and VPN networks
Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems
Perform installation, maintenance and upgrade of LAN/WAN and WLAN infrastructure
Work with vendors to resolve technical issues related to network hardware and software
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues related to network performance and connectivity
Develop and maintain documentation related to network architecture, design, and maintenance
Participate in network security assessments, testing, and compliance audits
Maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans related to the network infrastructure
Provide regular metrics to NetOps team and other key stakeholders
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field
4-6 years’ experience managing enterprise network
Strong knowledge of leveraging firewall features like Global Protect, NAT policies, APP-ID and Security Profiles
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Cisco Switch and Wireless experience
Familiar with SDWAN architecture
Familiarity with network protocols such as TCP/IP, subnetting, DNS, OSPF, and BGP
Knowledge of network security principles and best practices
Knowledge of Azure and or AWS network infrastructure
Familiarity with network hardware and software from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto
Understanding of IPsec tunnels
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Relevant industry certifications such as CCNP or PCNSA desired
