The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Medicaid and Health Services Management.
Under the general supervision of the Medicaid Chief Financial Executive, this position is responsible for ensuring the state ran Healthcare Facilities and its contracted providers are in compliance with contract requirements. This includes coordination and oversight of all healthcare Facilities Division contracting; supervision of development of Requests for Proposals; drafting and negotiating contracts with division staff; serving as contact with contracted providers monitoring contract compliance; seeking resolution of non-compliance issues; authorizing contract payments and implementation of sanctions for contract non-compliance. * *

Qualifications for this Career Opportunity ** * * * Extensive knowledge of the theory and principles of government accounting, procurement and contracting. * Thorough knowledge of state procurement, risk management, and contracting laws and procedures. * Ability to communicate professionally both orally and in writing, and to maintain effective working relationships with employees, contractors, other agencies, and the public is critical to this position. * Ability to perform intellectual analysis and evaluation in forming a variety of administrative and program management responsibilities; to independently research and interpret information and develop evaluation methods and procedure for state and federal contracts. * Excellent organizational skills. * Skill in reporting financial status of contracts to management. * Meet minimum qualifications: o Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human services, or related field. o Four years of support experience with contracts, and/or related high-level administrative support. o Experience in contract management and/or resource management is preferred. o Other combinations of education and experience may be substituted. * *
