Position Purpose:
The Accounts Payable Accountant supports month end duties including month end reporting, analytics, accruals, journal entries and other Accountant responsibilities within the Accounts Payable department.
Primary Responsibilities:
Complete Monthly End Reporting
Prepare month end accruals
Prepare journal entries
Various types of Reclassing and reconciliations
Recurring expense management
Monthly Tax payments
Escheatment/Unclaimed Property management
Annual filing of 1099’s
Audit requests as needed
Special projects to streamline, drive efficiency, and root cause analyses
Other assignments and responsibilities as assigned by AP Manager
Weekly Bank reconciliations
Performs other related duties as assigned

Detailed oriented
Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills
Ability to work independently with limited supervision
Ability to follow through with tasks to completion
Ability to prioritize key tasks

Required Qualifications:
• Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience
• Must have heavy experience with large amount of data for reconciliations & month-end reporting
• Must have experience with complex research & analysis
