Full-Time/Part-Time/PRN positions available
I) Job PurposeProvides speech, language, communication, feeding and swallowing disorder service to infants and toddlers with developmental delays and their families as identified in the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP). Ensures that all (0-3) children are served timely and appropriately and in keeping with their procedural safeguards, right and needs. This position fully embraces the mission and 7 key principals for providing early intervention services in the natural environment.
II) Essential Functions
Participates in the eligibility determination, assessment and evaluation process for infants and toddlers referred with communication and/or feeding and swallowing concerns.Participates in IFSP meetings for children demonstrating communication and or feeding needs by sharing evaluation/assessment information and assisting with the development of the IFSP.Provides routine based speech therapy in the natural environment using a coaching model and collaborative documentation.Communicates and collaborates on an ongoing basis with service coordinators, parents, and IFSP team members and, with parental consent, communicates with medical, educational and social entities for the purpose of establishing and reviewing therapeutic needs.Manages individual caseload in a manner that supports all children in the program receiving quality services for identified speech therapy needs in a timely manner.Maintains and submits all required documentation daily.Meets performance expectations (see addendum).Participates in project groups, committees child find activities and interagency program planning as requested by the Chief of ECI.May serve as Service Coordinator for infants and toddlers with speech, language, communication, feeding and swallowing disorders. (See SC addendum, if appropriate)May organize and facilitate (inclusive) community groups, activities and opportunities for children with communication, feeding and swallowing disorders.May serve as the Program Lead for SLP's.May serve as the Division lead for SLP's.May provide training to ECI staff and the community.May supervise SLP-Assistant(s).May supervise CLP-CFY(s).Performance standards are performed as applicable with MHMR's

Knowledge of typical (normal) birth to age three growth and development.Knowledge about developmental delays in children birth to three years.Knowledge about disordered and atypical development in children birth to three years.Knowledge of medical diagnosis and conditions and their impact or potential impact on birth to three growth and development, especially related to communication, feeding and swallowing.Knowledge, skills and ability to work effectively with families/adults from various cultural, linguistic, socio-economic, cognitive, social-emotional and educational statuses.Knowledge of community resources available to assist families with financial, educational, medical, social and developmental needs.Knowledge of infant-toddler evaluation and assessment protocols, curriculums, methodologies, therapeutic strategies, techniques and monitoring/measuring progress; especially related to communication, feeding and swallowing.Comprehension of the IFSP process.Ability and skills to communicate both orally and in writing.Ability to strive to make effective working relationships with team members and families that are characterized by mutual support, open communication, trust and respect.Ability to problem solve with infrequent assistance from supervisor. Identify and use a rational approach for the situation. IV) Internal & External Customer ServiceExtensive internal and external contact is required. The employee will demonstrate advanced written and verbal skills while maintaining a positive image.

V) Travel
This position requires driving to and from locations for work and/and may require overnight traveling. Employees are required to have a license in good standing and be able to be covered by agency liability insurance. If personal vehicle is utilized for work travel, then maintaining personal auto insurance coverage is required.
