The Henry Ford Medical Group Division of Hospice and Palliative Medicine is seeking a physician for the role of Senior Staff Physician in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. This position includes patient care, teaching, and scholarly work within the Hospice and Palliative Medicine Programs at Henry Ford Health.

The physician will:
· Serve as an Attending Physician on the interdisciplinary inpatient palliative medicine consultative service and inpatient hospice services at Henry Ford Hospital, and/or serve as an Attending Physician in our Henry Ford Cancer Ambulatory Palliative Medicine Clinic.
· Supervise and train medical students, residents, fellows, and other interdisciplinary learners (serving as clinical faculty for our ACGME- accredited Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program with 2 fellows per year)
· Participate in scholarly activities in education, quality improvement, and research
Based on interest and skills the physician may:
· Become a facilitator for the innovative communication skills education program, CLEAR Conversations
· Participate in the development/maintenance of hospital-based protocols in pain, symptom management, advance care planning, end-of-life care, and other areas related to palliative medicine
Requirements:
· Initial board certification in a primary specialty
· Board-certification or Board-eligibility in Hospice and Palliative Medicine
· Palliative Medicine Fellowship training or other comparable experience
· Must possess the following personal qualities: Be self-directed; be flexible and committed to the team concept; demonstrates teamwork, initiative and willingness to learn; be open to new learning experiences; accepts and respects diversity without judgment; and demonstrates customer service values.
