RMC is hiring a Supply Technician (Technical Screener) in Indian Head, MD. The selected applicant will be responsible for providing support to personnel on the Purchasing Teams throughout the NSWC IHD Enterprise.
Duties may include:Providing metrics, analysis, procurement screening oversight and corrective actions on Purchase Requisitions (PR)Assisting with the input of PRs and initiating work-flows as necessaryMaintaining records and files for PRs; ensuring related attachments and exhibits are included and correctMonitoring the health of PRs using a variety of data provided from Navy ERP and the Procurement ToolUpdating tracking spreadsheets to maintain status as neededGathering requirements and conducting mandatory sourcing using preferred/authorized government vendorsEnsuring that final orders meet DoD, Navy and NAVSEA standards for order executionAssisting in clearing un-matched receipts, frustrated deliveries and open obligationsDeveloping and maintaining performance and accuracy metrics that can be presented as requestedWorking with end users, request generators, authorizing officials and purchasing agents within the commandMaintaining a professional relationship with all customers and vendors in both written and verbal communicationsUpdating internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and related resource materials as neededRequirementsMust maintain effective verbal and written communicationsMust have experience with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) and Adobe Acrobat (PDF files)Candidate must possess an Associate’s degree with two (2) years of relevant experience or a High School diploma with four (4) years of relevant experience in a related discipline. Prior experience with the handling DoD procurements and acquisitions/contracts is desired, but training will be provided as necessary.Security Clearance:
An active DoD secret clearance is required to start.
