With the use and commercialization of laser-induced inertial fusion, a clean and highly efficient power generation technology is coming within reach, suitable to ensure a secure and scalable future energy supply.
We are looking for a Financial Planning and Analysis leader to lead our financial planning efforts, ensuring that we have the financial insights and analytics needed to drive sustainable growth. You will work closely with the executive leadership team, providing critical analysis, forecasting, and financial recommendations to inform key business decisions. You will play a pivotal role in helping us achieve our ambitious goals by ensuring financial discipline and long-term planning alignment.
What you'll do:
Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, business performance reporting, monthly close process, operational improvements, and ad-hoc support on strategic projectsDevelop and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making, operational efficiency, and risk managementProvide insightful analysis and reporting on business performance, competitor analysis, identifying key trends, opportunities, and risksCollaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial planning with business objectives, including R&D, engineering, operations, and commercial teamsPrepare financial presentations and reports for senior management, the board of directors, and potential investorsSupport fundraising activities by preparing financial projections, sensitivity analyses, and due diligence materialsMonitor and track KPIs, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and compliance with company goalsLead initiatives to optimize financial processes, including cost structure analysis, capital allocation, and cash flow managementEnsure compliance with financial regulations and internal policiesReview existing processes and procedures to develop recommendations for improvement effortsProvide leadership for cost controlling and investment activities. Optimize resource allocation and methods related to the pricing processLead and inspire a diverse and talented team of financial planning experts. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and professional growthPropose and implement software solutionsEvaluate, select, and implement ERP and financial systems to streamline financial reporting, improve data accuracy, and support scalabilityLeverage modern finance tools and technologies to improve financial workflows, increase efficiency, and enhance data visibility and understandingWho you are:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or CPA preferred.Strong experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within the technology, energy, manufacturing, hardware, and/or startup sectorsProven experience in financial modeling, forecasting, and strategic financial analysisExcellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholdersExperience working in high-tech, energy, or engineering sectors is a plus, particularly within startup environmentsExperience evaluating, implementing, and optimizing ERP and financial management systemsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on innovation and growthStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a detail-oriented mindset
