It’s our company, and our actions and engagement make the difference Responsibilities include: Design · Leads visioning, programming, design conceptualization, development, and integration of strategic design solutions for projects. · Conceptualizes and develops interior design from both a functional and aesthetic perspective in concert with a client’s requirements, budget, and program. · Develops programs and generates programming documents. · Develops space planning, block planning, and adjacency diagrams. · Oversite of design details including, but not limited to, millwork design, ceiling, and lighting design. · Completes Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment scope tasks from design and selection through bid. · Creation of finish and material palettes. · Research, evaluate and select materials. · Research, evaluate and select interior systems. · Develop the interiors through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats to express design intent. · Ensures design complies with building codes and ADA guidelines. · Understands and coordinates project systems to ensure compatibility with the design intent. Documentation · BIM (REVIT) Construction Documentation · CSI Master Specification Documentation · Oversee design work of others to ensure integrated and cohesive design, preparation of drawings, and ensure guidelines, quality control, standards and details are met. Construction · Assist in construction administration including responding to RFI s, preparing sketches and addendums, and visiting the construction site to gather information and/or prepare a punch list. · Maintains an accurate knowledge of design intent and assists in vetting of submissions accordingly. Project Management · Lead all stages of the design process including visioning, programming, concept design, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration. · Coordinates and collaborates with project team (includes full team architects and engineers). · Lead Client Presentations and correspondence and communication. · Estimate the time required to complete the work. · Management of projects through developing project scope, schedules, job production, quality, and fee management. · Work with project team, consultants, product reps, and fabricators to meet overall project objectives. · Manage client relationships. · Provide consistent and timely communication of project information with clients and the project team. · Develop interior design in accordance with cost parameters and ensure interior design intent is maintained through documentation and construction. Mentoring · Mentor and coach staff · Inspire creativity, critical thought, and design excellence. · Develop and maintain a positive leadership image and environment which promotes staff morale and teamwork. Professional Acumen · Provides thought leadership, creative visioning, client engagement, and progressive design thinking. · Contribute to and participate in office activities, initiatives and learning programs. · Establish and maintain ongoing, productive client relationships. · Demonstrates a commitment to the profession and the firm by participating in professional organizations or other professional activities outside of the office. Qualifications · Minimum bachelor’s degree of Interior Design or Interior Architecture. · Minimum of 8 years’ experience · Extensive Experience in software – Revit, Lumion, Enscape, Photoshop, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office · Advanced English literacy, both written and verbal. · Self-motivation, excellent communication skills, and a great team-player attitude. Strong communication, interpersonal and collaborative skills fostering a positive work environment. · Project management skills. · Understanding of people management or work experience in large company. · Graphics and visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideas. · Strong leadership, organization, communication, and relationship management skills · Ability to engage in creative and critical thought. · Communicate concepts and ideas to others effectively. · Lead one or more interior design teams on projects from development through construction of interior design. · Work with, participate and coordinate in a multi-disciplinary project team setting. Other disciplines such as but not limited to mechanical, electrical, telecom, and fire protection. · Check work of others for accuracy and completeness. · Manage team to meet project budget and schedule. · Interpret sketches, drawings, codes, project program and other similar material. · Present ideas and concepts to clients. · Apply accessibility codes, applicable building codes, and life-safety codes to a wide variety of project scopes and complexity. · Proficient understanding of the relationship between drawings and specifications. · Demonstrated experience in space planning. · Working knowledge of contract interiors FF&E market including manufacturers and dealers, and experience documenting FF&E specifications · Experience in maintaining fiscal accountability of projects. · Self-starter, leader, ability to manage and mentor on complex projects.
