About the Role As a Principal Material Scientist at enVerid Systems, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our innovative air treatment technologies, overseeing the production and performance of cutting-edge sorbents that enhance indoor air quality and contribute to a sustainable future. This position reports directly to our SVP of Product & Engineering. Responsibilities Research and develop the performance and appearance of our current sorbent technology Develop new formulations of sorbent materials for air treatment applications Represent enVerid technically to customers and partners and prepare outward facing materials for customer queries and presentations. Collaborate closely with the Engineering Team on new product development and testing Oversee our sorbent production process (1-2x per year) and ensure all quality standards are met Lead the quality control and assurance of our sorbent and filter technology Ensure the safety and compliance of sorbent products with relevant standards and codes Evaluate our vendors and supply chain and improve the manufacturing process of our sorbent Maintain detailed documentation of current sorbent production processes and develop backup plans for supply disruptions Qualifications Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Material Science or equivalent 4 years’ experience in the synthesis and production of organic and inorganic materials Firm understanding of gas sorbents and gas separation processes Practical, working knowledge of organic and inorganic chemistry Highly motivated and self-directed team player. Exemplifies creativity and resourcefulness in problem-solving. Ability to thrive in a startup environment and deliver good business results with minimal resources Exemplifies our company values: collaborative, innovative, reliable, and proactive Preferred Qualifications Track record of taking new materials from development to production Experience with commercial-scale toll manufacturing of bulk chemicals Experience in manufacturing and working with materials for gas separation and adsorption
