This role will play a crucial part in the operational efficiency of our company by ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of supply chain management, and a knack for negotiation. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic team and make a significant impact on our manufacturing processes.Responsibilities:As a Permanent Purchasing Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:1. Managing day-to-day purchasing activities, ensuring the right products are delivered at the right time and at the most cost-effective price.2. Utilizing the ERP system for order processing, vendor management, and inventory control.3. Negotiating contracts with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.4. Reviewing technical specifications for raw materials, components, and equipment to ensure they meet our needs.5. Conducting market research to keep up with changes in the industry and identify new suppliers or products.6. Coordinating with the production and engineering teams to forecast future material needs.7. Tracking and reporting key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.8. Implementing strategies for procuring, storing, and distributing goods or services and maintaining stock levels.9. Handling any supply chain disruptions in a quick and cost-effective manner.Qualifications:The ideal candidate for this role will have:1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a purchasing role in the manufacturing industry.2. Proven experience with ERP systems.3. A degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.4. Strong negotiation skills and a knack for building relationships with suppliers.5. Solid knowledge of supply chain and inventory management systems.6. Understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgement.7. Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.8. Strong problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset.9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.10.
