Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise daily machining operations to ensure efficiency and productivity while maintaining accountabilityLead, train, and develop a team of machinists, promoting a positive work environmentMonitor production schedules and adjust workloads to meet deadlines and targetsEnsure adherence to safety practices and protocols in the machining areaAnalyze machining processes and implement continuous improvement initiativesConduct regular performance evaluations for team members and provide constructive feedbackCollaborate with quality assurance to assess and maintain product quality standardsWork with team to coordinate and implement improvement activitiesImplement and verify corrective actionsGather and summarize performance dataPromote, follow, and help establish standard workLead by exampleCompetencies:

Proven experience in a machining environment with a focus on CNC lathes and/or milling experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role.Strong understanding of machining processes, tools, and equipment.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Skilled in problem-solving, conflict resolution and decision-making under pressure.Knowledge of safety standards and regulations within a manufacturing setting.Familiarity with ISO and lean manufacturing principles.Strong computer skillsAbility to multi-task and prioritize workGood time management and organization skillsGreat communicator, team builder, and coachKnowledge of manufacturing and machining processes
