ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Oversee day-to-day operations of the student accounts department.Supervise the student accounts team and cash management specialist to ensure effective workflow and performance.Manage campus billing inquiries and provide excellent customer service to campus and home office staff.Ensure accurate and timely billing of student accounts.Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with college policies and procedures.Participates in strategic initiatives by setting and achieving both short- and long-term goals, developing and implementing processes and policies that align with the institution's objectives.Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure federal, state, and institutional regulations compliance.Develop and implement policies and procedures for managing student accounts.Supervise and mentor staff involved in student account operations to enhance departmental efficiency.Develop comprehensive student financial literacy programs and resources to support informed decision-making.Prepare financial reports and analyses related to student accounts for college administration.Analyze financial data and generate reports to inform departmental strategies and institutional financial planning.Stay updated on relevant regulations and student accounting and financial aid compliance requirements.Performs other duties as assigned.CORE COMPETENCIES:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.At least five years of experience in student accounts, bursar's office, or related financial management positions within a higher education setting.Strong knowledge of federal and state cash management regulations, accounting principles, and student account management practices.Proven ability to effectively lead, mentor, and develop a team of professionals.Exceptional analytical skills with experience in data management and reporting.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.Proficiency in student information systems.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, staff, and external stakeholders.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
A Master's degree in finance, accounting, education administration, or a related field.Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation.Experience in Anthology SoftwareExperience in Project Management
