Inventory Management

Job SummaryThe Inventory Management (Kitter) will be responsible for accurately and efficiently picking and kitting customer order materials. This role involves creating material kits for assemblies based on the production schedule, assigning locations and quantities to product parts, and ensuring that all assembly kits are updated, tracked, and issued on time. The individual will also be responsible for performing audits of chemical products to monitor shelf life and identify expired products.Key ResponsibilitiesKitting & Picking: Create and assemble "kits" of materials for assembly based on daily production schedules. Accurately pull materials from inventory, update transactions in the ERP system, and ensure that all required parts are available.Material Handling & Organization: Locate and process materials according to the production schedule and ensure correct parts are available in the required quantities to support assembly and production needs.Inventory Tracking & Audits: Track material usage and inventory levels. Perform regular audits of materials, including checking the shelf life of chemical products and identifying expired items.Production Support: Ensure that assembly lines are continuously supplied with the required materials by organizing and delivering kits to the production area in a timely manner.Expediting & Problem Solving: Address urgent production needs, resolve material shortages, and expedite part deliveries as necessary to maintain production flow.Multitasking & Adaptability: Manage multiple tasks and adjust priorities as directed to ensure the smooth flow of production activities.Communication & Reporting: Provide production and assembly teams with necessary documentation such as drawings, pick lists, and shop order reports.Required QualificationsEducation & Experience:High School Diploma or equivalent.Minimum of 6 years of prior kitting/picking experience, or2 years of post-secondary education/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior kitting/picking experience.Skills & Abilities:Strong attention to detail and time management skills.Ability to work effectively in a team environment.Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Edge.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work quickly, efficiently, and accurately under time constraints.Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.Preferred QualificationsSoftware Experience: Experience with SAP for inventory and materials management.Data Management: Familiarity with data management and processing is a plus.CertificationsNo specific certifications required, but knowledge of inventory management systems is beneficial.Note - 1440, Cook Pl, Goleta, CA, 93117 Education: High School
