Hospital in Idaho is looking for 2 RN's to start ASAP for 13 weeks in their Float Pool. Primarily working Medical/Surgical but most also float to other areas as needed.Job Requirements

Must have experience with post op surgical patients.Must have 1 year of experience, okay with first time traveler but would like first time traveler to have more than 1 year of experience.Schedule Information

Shifts & Scheduling: 12 hours, 7-7. No self-scheduling, will try to work with requests.Weekend Requirement: Yes- if there is a need.Holiday Requirement: Yes- if there is a need.Floating Requirements: Yes to other MedSurg floors.Unit Specific Information

Unit: MedSurg Magic Valley - Flr 2 | Surgical# of Beds: 36Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Surgical patients with mix of Medsurg. Any surgical patient that would stay overnight or longer- total joints, appys, choles, simple back surgeries etc. Medical and cardiopulmonary- CHF, COPD, pneumonia, psych, dementia, COVID, etc. Only patients they really don't take are strokes.Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift: Charge nurse and resource nurse available on unit. Plus House wide med/surg Crisis nurse. Charge does not take assignments.Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit? Duties?RT Equipment: CPAP. BiPAP and High flow will be transferred to IMCU or ICU.Are there tele/monitor techs on this unit: No tele techs- Prefer RNs to read and interpret, if unable charge or resource can read.Additional Details

There is no Call or a Standby requirement.Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:05CNAs 1:8Are RNs required to titrate drips: NoScrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs provided? Navy Blue and we do not provide uniforms.How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation: General orientation and 1 shift on the unit.
