# of Beds: 42Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Primarily a Medical floor with some surgical overflowAre RNs required to titrate drips: NoCharge Nurse on each shift: Yes - rarely takes patients but will if neededNurse aids/patient care techs on this unit: Yes - 1:8 ratioRT Equipment: CPAP, BiPAP - RT manages, high flowAre there tele/monitor techs on this unit: Yes - Virtual Tele techsHow many shifts of unit/department-specific orientation: 3 days of general orientation plus 2 shifts on unit with a preceptorAdditional Details
Floating Requirements: Will float between MedSurg 5, MedSurg 6, and a 9 bed overflow unit, to any like units in the system - Boise Medical Center and Nampa Medical Center both about 8 miles away, could also float to ER for holds or to be a 1:1Scrubs provided: Any color as long as clean and professionalThis facility has a radius rule of 50 miles
