Job Summary The Manager - IT Platform Services oversees critical IT platform services' strategic planning, implementation, and operational excellence, including Identity and Access Management (IAM), Collaboration Tools (O365, SharePoint), Exchange services, and database engineering. This position ensures optimal performance, security, and scalability of the organizations IT infrastructure to support business goals. This position is required to report to the SHI Somerset NJ or SHI Austin office location as determined by SHI management. Responsibilities Includes but not limited to: Identity and Access Management (IAM) Lead developing, implementing, and managing IAM systems and strategies Ensure secure and seamless access to systems, applications, and data through identity lifecycle management Manage Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and role-based access control (RBAC) Monitor and audit user access and entitlements to maintain compliance with security policies Collaboration Tools Oversee the administration and management of Microsoft Office 365, including Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, and other collaboration tools Lead the implementation of governance and usage best practices for O365 applications to maximize productivity and collaboration Manage SharePoint sites and ensure secure and efficient document management and workflows Drive innovation and adoption of collaboration tools across the organization Database Engineering Lead database engineering efforts, ensuring optimal design, scalability, and performance of databases (SQL, NoSQL, etc.) Collaborate with database administrators (DBAs) to ensure the security, reliability, and high availability of critical databases Ensure database backups, recovery plans, and disaster recovery solutions are tested and operational Work with development teams to optimize query performance and application database design IT Platform Operations & Support Lead a team of IT professionals responsible for the day-to-day operations of platform services, including monitoring, support, and troubleshooting Develop and implement performance metrics and SLAs for platform services to ensure reliable operations Provide technical expertise and direction for complex troubleshooting efforts involving multiple platform services Ensure all systems and platforms are appropriately documented, secure, and compliant with industry regulations (GDPR, ISO, etc.) Strategic Planning & Innovation Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for IT platform services that align with business objectives and technology trends Evaluate and recommend new technologies, services, and vendors to improve IT platform services Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives requiring IT infrastructure support Drive automation and process improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency Team Leadership & Development Manage and mentor a team of IT platform engineers, administrators, and analysts Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and collaboration within the team Ensure the team has the necessary skills, resources, and training to meet evolving business needs Provide regular performance feedback and support career development plans for team members Qualifications Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure, platform services, or related areas, with at least five years in a leadership or managerial role Strong experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) platforms and solutions Expertise in Microsoft Office 365, including Exchange and SharePoint administration Solid knowledge of database technologies (SQL, Redhat) and engineering best practices Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure or AWS, is a plus Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills Proven ability to manage complex IT environments and ensure high availability, security, and performance Required Skills Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams Commitment to maintaining security, compliance, and operational excellence in all areas of responsibility Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills Certifications Required Preferred certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator or equivalent Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) ITIL Foundation certification Certified Identity and Access Manager (CIAM) or equivalent Additional Information The estimated annual pay range for this position is $140,000 - $185,000. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual.
