The Access and Accommodations department is seeking (1) Assistant Director and Technology Administrator

to

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO

Supervises and coordinates the provision of ADA accommodations by the Access and Accommodations Center (AACE).

Supervises, mentors, evaluates, and effectively leads access coordinators, administrative coordinators, and student employees.

Assesses student requests for accommodations and addresses any implementation challenges with relevant faculty and department chairs.

Consult and collaborate with our university legal department and Title IX coordinator on complex disability accommodations decisions and grievances when necessary.

Serve as consultant to access coordinators on complex disability accommodations decisions and disability documentation compliance.

Helps minimize security breaches by following appropriate cybersecurity protocols and maintaining effective communication with OIT and AIM developers.

Coordinates and evaluates assistive technology for students.

Presents at division meetings, university department meetings and outreach events.

Coordinate contract renewals with division Business Manager and prepare invoices for note taker payments in AIM.

Trains AACE staff, work-study students, graduate assistance and instructors on the use of AIM.

Ensures office coverage.

Works with Director on development of effective policies, procedures, and methods of service provision and on preparing periodic reports for the Division of Student Success and for the Board of Regents.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

* Knowledge of ADA and the University System Board of Regents policies.

* Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

* Ability to pass criminal background investigation.

Qualifications

:

Minimum Hiring Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and five years of supervisory/management experience; or a combination of education and experience.

Preferred Hiring Qualifications:

Master's degree in Counseling/Clinical Psychology, Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling, or related degree and 5 years of experience; or a combination of education and experienceCollege/Business Unit
