OR Pediatric RN

to:Communicate and coordinate Operating Room activities to facilitate efficiency in the surgical case progression and turnover between cases.Implement safe, competent, and efficient patient care within policies, procedures, and standards and care plan to perioperative patients regardless of complexity.Minimum Requirements:Facility Requirement:Traveler must have permanent address outside 50 mile radius of Madison (address must be included intraveler's profile).Experience:Clinical Operating Room experience, pediatric nursing experience including including PICU.Travelermust have completed two years of acute care experience within last 3years.Traveler must have experience in an Academic Level 1 -Trauma center or similar size hospital.Successfully completed traveler assignment(13 weeks).Licensure and Certification:Traveler must have WI nursing license or compactlicense from their permanent address state.BLS and PALSmust be certified through American Heart Association ONLYReferenceNeeds 2 references from recent workenvironment/assignments (supervisor or manager only).FloatingTravelersare the first to float to floors working with children up to 1 year ofage and/or based on the traveler's competency skills/experience. The Traveler mayhave shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the currentstaffing needs and/or different locations within theorganization.During the travelers assignment, if the primary unit no longer has aneed, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit in order to completecontract.On-call Optional:

You will be taking a 20 strip exam to demonstrate that competency and must get an 80% on the test and correctly identify our 4 lethal rhythms (Asystole, V-Tach, V-fib, and 3rd Degree AV Block)

Attached-(Uploaded to our existing documents) is a study guide and practice test similar to what you will take on Monday.

****All agency travelers must demonstrate competency in interpretation of cardiac rhythms before your orientation begins. Previous completion of PALS, ACLS, etc. is not acceptable as a demonstration of this competency. Instead, you will be expected to satisfactorily complete a 20 question test which consists of multiple choice questions and write-in rhythm identification. You must pass with an overall score of 80% and correctly identify 100% of the 4 life-threatening rhythms for your patient population (adult or peds).
