Traveler willautomatically be declined.**Only submit traveler who can work schedule in posting and interestedin the unit.We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to:Join the ENT/Eyes/Plastics Surgery team and provide high quality care to patients on this unit .Ensure care is delivered with a mixture of technological expertise and a positive commitment to meeting patient and family needs.Be an integral part of a team that provides care for patients requiring specialized care for cardiac and thoracic surgeries and procedures, heart and/or lung transplants, medical devices and a variety of cardiovascular medical diagnosesMinimum Requirements:Facility Requirement:Traveler must have permanent address outside 50 mile radius of Madison (permanent address must be included in traveler's profile: resume, *** portal and all onboarding documentation must have permanent address listed).Experience:Must have experience with ENT/Eyes/Plastsics (3 or above).Traveler must have completed two years of acute careexperience within last 3 years.Traveler must have experience in an Academic Level 1 -Trauma center or similar size hospital.Successfully completed traveler assignment(13 weeks).Licensure and Certification:Traveler must have WI nursing license or compactlicense from their permanent address state.BLS & ACLS must be certified through American Heart Association ONLYReferenceNeeds 2 references from recent workenvironment/assignments (supervisor or manager only for work performed in the last two years).FloatingTravelersare the first to float. The Traveler mayhave shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the currentstaffing needs and/or different locations within theorganization.During the traveler s assignment, if the primary unit no longer has aneed, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit in order to completecontract.Location: UW Health University Hospital, Madison, WIParking: Permit required by UW Transportation Services https://transportation.wisc.edu/University Hospital inMadison is a Magnet -designated facility that s ranked Wisconsin s #1 hospital and considered one of the nation's leading hospitals,teaching institutions and referral centers.
Position Urgency:Quick Start
Shifts:36 hrs/wk, Day/Evening, 12 hr shift, Monday- Friday with primary shift being 6:40am-7pm. Weekend and weekday call rotation. Three 12 hour shifts consecutive are not guaranteed. **Traveler may be mandated to stay beyond scheduled shift for patient care needs *On-Call Requirement: Call response time is 45 minutes: 45 minutes from phone call to be dressed in scrubs and reporting to the charge nurse. Most likely one call shift during week and every 5th weekend, potentially.
