Job Description SummaryWe are looking for a Manufacturing Testing Manager to lead and oversee the testing of renewable energy products, specifically inverters and battery energy storage systems. The ideal candidate will manage the testing team, ensuring strict adherence to test procedures, driving product quality by identifying issues, and implementing effective solutions. This role involves cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Production teams, while ensuring compliance with the company's Quality Policy and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) requirements.
Job Description
Key ResponsibilitiesLead the manufacturing testing team in the execution of functional testing for inverters, variable frequency drives and converters, and related systems.Ensure testing processes meet customer quality, technical, and functional requirements.Manage troubleshooting of technical issues in collaboration with Engineering and cross-functional teams.Drive product quality improvements by identifying manufacturing issues and developing cost-effective testing solutions.Lead testing initiatives to achieve zero-defect goals and enhance overall product reliability.Ensure calibration, maintenance, and full utilization of testing equipment.Prepare and review comprehensive test reports and communicate findings to senior management.Collaborate with Engineering to refine test design requirements and improve product manufacturability.Ensure compliance with EHS standards, including safety measures in the testing environment.Manage Customer Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and align testing processes with industry standards (IEC, UL).Lead efforts to develop new test plans and procedures for inverters and electrical components.Foster a positive team environment, promoting knowledge sharing, mentorship, and continuous improvement.Monitor team performance and metrics, driving accountability and providing feedback for growth and development.Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to the testing team, ensuring alignment with business goals.Build a culture of collaboration, actively engaging with Engineering, Quality, and Production departments to drive seamless communication and process improvements.Identify training and development needs within the team to foster technical growth and performance excellence.Ensure effective resource planning and scheduling to meet testing deadlines and production targets.Support team members in solving complex technical problems and encourage a solution-driven approach.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering from an accredited university or college.5+ years of experience in inverter testing or related areas, with at least 2 years in a management or leadership role.Strong knowledge of inverter manufacturing processes, quality assurance, and engineering principles.Proven experience in leading technical teams and driving cross-functional initiatives.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to guide technical teams effectively.Familiarity with IEC and UL standards, and testing methodologies for electrical components.Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a focus on team development and process improvement.Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to write reports and present findings to senior management.Desired Characteristics
