Quality Assurance/Control Specialist
Flagship Lab Services is seeking a Quality Assurance/Control Specialist in San Diego. This is an opportunity to grow your field service career in an innovative, team-oriented environment. Our exclusive best-in-class service training and relationship-based service process enables you to build lifelong relationships and a rewarding, long-term career.Essential Functions:Prepare SOP's for calibrations, repairs and validations of laboratory equipment to ISO 17025 standards.Maintenance of SOP’s, controlled documents, standards, and calibration certificates.Database entry and maintenance for scheduled events (calibration/PMC).Customer recall notices and review.Monitor and improvement of field processes and repairs.Customer and administration liaison for field and in-house issues to maintain a high degree of customer satisfaction.Review, write and audit Standard Operating Procedures.Conduct audits of vendors and internal processes.Conducting internal audits of quality control practices to ensure that employees are following procedures correctly.Oversee ISO Accreditation and Proficiency Testing.Work with Field Service Manager to ensure compliance to all SOP’s.Handle customer complaints, non-conformance issues and CAPA.Manage document control process.Fill-in for office administrator when needed. This will include creating work orders, add/remove assets to client accounts, answer phones and administrator emails.Manage standards, compliance, and services.Reviewing employee performance to ensure compliance with company standards and safety regulations.Training employees on quality control procedures and standards, including safety regulations.Reviewing data from customer surveys or other feedback sources to identify areas for improvement in services.Developing and implementing quality control protocols, such as ISO standards or GMP guidelines.Troubleshoot issues with equipment using various tools such as multimeters, thermometers, process calibrators.Complete all documentation associated with service order.Develop calibration procedures to meet the customer requirements while supporting traceability of the measurements.Maintain all equipment and standards per SOP's.Seek and facilitate sales of equipment when the opportunity is available (commission is given).Requirements:Minimum (2) years Quality Assurance or Quality Control experience with a proven track record of technical resolutions.Preferred (1) year laboratory related experience (not required).Working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 9001 and OSHA.Deep knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools.Superb computer skills, including database management.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in relevant field.Work Environment:Small-to-large office environment.Fast paced work environment.The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.Exposed to a combination of normal office type environments and shop environments.Regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes, cleaning products and noise.Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to perform the following repetitive movements: stand, walk, sit, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear. Ability to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds of office and facilities equipment (cleaning products, tools, and ladders) and trash and the ability to safely use equipment provided.
