Job Description and DutiesUnder the direct supervision of the Personnel Supervisor I, this position is responsible for preparing Personnel Action Requests (PARS) for appointments, separations and all miscellaneous transactions required for CMC employees. Responsible for processing payroll, overtime, holiday pay, shift differential, uniform allowance, overtime meal allowances, out-of-class pay, and garnishments. Processing and maintaining Non-Industrial Disability Insurance and State Disability Insurance. Maintain and process FMLA hours and work with the FMLA coordinator. Complete various enrollment forms such as Health, Vision, Dental, Flex Elect, Group Legal Services, and Long-Term Disability. Keep abreast of proper workweek group allocations and bargaining unit contracts as they relate to time posting and overtime/holiday payments. Posting and auditing usage and accumulation of leave credits. Monitoring state service. Update corrections and/or changes to CLAS and verify leave balances with CLAS. Provide "New Employee" orientation to new hires and transfers. Communicate by phone, e-mail, or in person with employees regarding inquiries. Interpreting and applying laws, rules, and regulations. Interpreting bargaining unit contracts. Advise employees and supervisors of their rights and alternate courses of action. File employees' various documents in Official Personnel Files. May be assigned other duties as required. See attached duty statement.Eligible for annual Recruitment & Retention pay differential 30 days following the completion of 12 consecutive qualifying pay periods. Annual pay schedule is as follows:$2,400.00 after 12 or more qualifying months$3,000.00 after 24 or more qualifying months$3,600.00 after 36 or more qualifying months$4,800.00 after 48 or more qualifying monthsLimited term 12 months; may be extended up to 24 months or become permanent.Individuals who are eligible for a Training and Development assignment may also be considered for this position.
