The Development System Architect will play a pivotal role in designing and developing system architectures for various applications. This role focuses on creating comprehensive architecture diagrams, ensuring secure, compliant, and efficient solutions, and collaborating closely with development, infrastructure, and project teams. This position will work a hybrid in-person/remote schedule. There may be changes to this schedule based on training and operational needs. The headquarters location is 30 E. Broad St., Columbus. The duties for this position include but are not limited to:Develop and implement architecture solutions using Microsoft development frameworks with a primary focus on C#.Design and create detailed architecture diagrams that include networking, security, and compliance components.Collaborate with App Security and Compliance team to gain approval for development processes and ensure adherence to security best practices and regulatory standards.Assist in creating design documents for development and project teams, with clear documentation of compliance and security considerations.Conduct reviews of existing architecture and recommend secure, scalable, and compliant improvements.Stay updated with the latest technology, security, and compliance trends to ensure cutting-edge solutions.Understand the lifecycle of technological components & frameworks and communicate recommendations to ensure AGO systems are not vulnerable to end-of-life, insecure, unsupported or otherwise outdated technology.Knowledge and Skills Needed:
Proficiency in C# and .NET framework, with a strong understanding of Microsoft development architecture and related technologies.Expertise in creating architecture diagrams using tools like Microsoft Visio or similar, including networking, interface, and security components.Knowledge of security best practices, regulatory standards, and experience working with App Security and Infrastructure teams.Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with developers, project stakeholders, and non-technical teams.Ability to analyze and solve complex technical problems while ensuring solutions align with compliance requirements and best practices.Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.Why Work for the State of Ohio

Minimum Qualifications:Completion of undergraduate core program or associate degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics, or related field, or equivalent work experience, and minimum 8 yrs. combined work experience in network, database, server, or storage administration.-Or 2 years of exp. as an Infrastructure Specialist 3;-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.Preferred Qualifications:- 5+ years of experience in software development and architecture.- Proven experience in developing applications using C# and the .NET framework.- Demonstrated experience in creating architecture diagrams and technical design documents.- Experience working closely with security, infrastructure and development teams to ensure robust architecture solutions.- A deep understanding of Microsoft development architecture with a focus on the C# language.
