E-COMP, a Division of Granite Insurance Brokers is an independent agency that is looking for a Payroll Specialist with experience working in an office setting who possesses strong administrative and computer skills, detail oriented, works well with numbers and has the ability to work well with others in a team setting. This position will work within the E-COMP Operations department and will work collaboratively with fellow team members to achieve department goals.Location: Livermore, CAAbout E-COMP

E-COMP integrates a company’s payroll directly with their workers’ compensation insurance policy, providing an integrated workers’ compensation insurance solution. E-COMP’s channel partners are able to offer their customers the ability to eliminate the upfront deposit and to pay their insurance premiums based on actual payroll. E-COMP leverages their unique technology to receive a company’s payroll data to calculate premiums, which improves accuracy and minimizes the financial exposure to a workers’ compensation audit. E-COMP prides itself on designing and implementing better ways to leverage technology that best serves our partners and customers through a payroll partner driven strategy.Summary of Position
The ideal candidate will have third party payroll processing knowledge, is good with numbers, has an ability to build relationships, and works well within a fast-paced environment. This team member will provide a high level of proactive servicing to the company’s customers, payroll partners, carrier partners, and the E-COMP team. This candidate is a highly motivated, professional-minded individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced business environment.Primary Responsibilities
Provides support to E-COMP’s channel partnersResponsible for ensuring client payroll records are received, calculated and processedAddresses routine processing errors and escalates as necessaryWork closely with our development team to solve and create improvements to our billing platformEnsures all service deliverables and requirements are met and communicates with clients and partners, as neededManages daily files for processing and billingManages electronic packaging and transmission of payroll filesDevelops strong business partnerships with internal and external counterparts in Client Services, Technical Services, Client Information Services, and Payroll Partner ServicesCommunicates and provides World Class Service to client base and our channel partners that are located across the countryAll other tasks and duties as assignedQualifications and Skills
Payroll company, Accounting, or Insurance related work experience a plusFive plus years of experience in an administrative or technical roleCollege graduate preferredStrong computer skills a mustStrong experience with Excel requiredEfficient, detailed and accurateExcellent oral and written communicationStrong organization skills, ability to multi-task and work in a high-paced office cultureMust be willing to learn and adapt to new challenges when presentedMust be a team player and work well with othersProfessional and dependable, and works well within a team environmentBasic understanding of workers’ compensation and audits a plusWorking Conditions and Physical Requirements
