They are currently looking for a Senior Geologist with a Professional Geologist (PG) license to join a growing team in Sacramento.Job Overview:We are seeking a Senior Geologist to lead and manage diverse geologic projects. In this role, you will oversee site investigations, environmental assessments, and other complex geologic tasks. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, guide junior staff, and ensure successful project execution from inception to completion. With an employee-owned company, you will have a direct impact on both the technical success of the projects and the long-term growth of the firm.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage geologic investigations, including field sampling, subsurface exploration, geotechnical assessments, and data interpretation.Conduct geological analysis related to site characterization, slope stability, seismic hazard analysis, and environmental conditions.Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to meet client expectations, regulatory requirements, and company standards.Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior geologists and staff, fostering a learning environment and developing the next generation of geoscientists.Prepare detailed technical reports, proposals, and presentations for clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders.Interface with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to discuss project status, resolve technical issues, and ensure the smooth progression of work.Stay current on industry trends, evolving regulations, and new technologies in geology and environmental science.Contribute to the company's nationwide projects and initiatives, collaborating with offices across the country.Qualifications:Professional Geologist (PG) License
in the state of California.Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field.Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in geology, with a focus on environmental or site development projects.Extensive hands-on experience with geologic fieldwork, including subsurface investigations, environmental impact assessments, and environmental sampling.Knowledge of California geology, regulatory frameworks, and environmental compliance requirements.Strong experience managing complex projects, budgets, and multidisciplinary teams.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively present technical data to diverse audiences.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in all aspects of project execution.Preferred Qualifications:Master's degree in Geology or related field.Knowledge of key regulatory agencies, including California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC), California Environmental Protection Agency (CalEPA), and regional water quality boards.How to Apply:If this sounds like the next step in your career, please submit your resume!
