Director, Collections , you would lead the collections team and oversee the end-to-end receivables management process, ensuring timely payments while maintaining strong client relationships. This role is critical to our financial health, focusing on optimizing processes, minimizing bad debt, and providing actionable insights to stakeholders. Leadership & Strategy:
Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing collections team.Establish and implement collections strategies aligned with company objectives.Monitor and report on key collection metrics, including DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) and bad debt ratios.Collections Management:
Oversee all collection activities to ensure timely receipt of payments.Develop and enforce credit policies, collections protocols, and customer communication standards.Manage escalations, negotiations, and settlements with clients, ensuring a balance between customer satisfaction and company cash flow.Stakeholder Collaboration:
Partner with the finance, sales, and customer success teams to ensure alignment on client account management and collections.Collaborate with the legal team to handle delinquent accounts and collections disputes.Provide insights and recommendations to executives on collection trends and areas for process improvement.Technology & Reporting:
Leverage tools and systems to automate collections processes and enhance visibility.Prepare regular reports for leadership on collections performance, forecasting, and risk management.Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement through technology and industry best practices.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.8+ years of experience in collections, customer success management, credit, or receivables management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role desired.Strong knowledge of collections regulations, including Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).Experience in the property technology or real estate industry preferred.Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.Strong analytical skills and proficiency in collections software and financial reporting tools.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.Company Overview
